Dawlish Town Council working with lots of organisations and volunteers is putting on four days of events on the Lawn in Dawlish to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee.

Listed below are the times of the activities which are subject to change and weather conditions.

A limited edition souvenir programme is being produced with details of events around the parish along with a souvenir postcard - look out for this in late May.

Assist Teignbridge will be selling refreshments in the marquee during the day.

10am to 12noon Platinum Jubilee Waggy Walk - Free
Must be pre-booked at https://www.devonlovesdogs.co.uk/jubilee-waggy-walk-dawlish-countryside-park - at Dawlish Countryside Park

10.30am ’70 minutes for 70 years’ at St Gregory’s Church Dawlish Bell Ringers will be ringing the church bells. All welcome to drop in to listen and watch how it is done.

11am to 4pm Sherlock Holmes trail around Lawn

11am to 4pm Face painter on the Lawn

11am to 5pm Street Market down the Strand and over 30 stalls on the Lawn and in the marquee telling you what they do in Dawlish!

11am to 11.45am Teignmouth and Dawlish Rock Choir at the bandstand

11.15am to 12noon Royal Galleon is around the Lawn

12 noon to 1pm Buncara - Irish Band at the bandstand

12.30pm to 1.30pm Royal Galleon to Coryton Cove and back to the Lawn

1.15pm to 2.15pm Music at the bandstand

2pm to 2.45pm Royal Galleon around the Lawn

2.30pm to 3pm The Rockeries at the bandstand

3.14pm*** Amended time to 3.22pm Lancaster flypast

3.30pm to 4.30pm Royal Galleon to Coryton Cove and back to Lawn

During the day the Imaginarium is on the Lawn with shows at 11.15, 12, 12.45,1.30,2.15.3.3.45.4.30pm (25 minute shows) and look out for stilt walkers, the penny farthing and Capt Ginger!

Join us in the evening for the Grand Jubilee Quiz organised by the Dawlish Local History Group in the marquee on the Lawn.
7.15pm for 7.30pm start, finish at 9pm

*Teams for up to four people. Prizes for 1st,2nd,3rd. Entry £2 per person. Proceeds to Dawlish Museum. BYO drinks. Interval raffle for Mayoral charities

Flowers and Memories of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Year. St Mary’s Church, Cofton. 11am to 3pm Thursday to Saturday inclusive. Sunday 12 to 3pm
Refreshments available.

1st June to 4th June
St. Gregory’s Parish church will be open from Wednesday 1st June to Sat 4th June to celebrate the Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth and also the life of the church over the 70 years with flowers and photographs. Open 10-4 Wed.-Fri; Sat 10-12, 2-4.

70 Glorious Years of Her Majesty plus a tribute to Duke of Edinburgh Award winners. Wednesday to Friday 11am to 3pm Saturday 10am to 1pm
